Police said there have been no arrests or recoveries in either case. Capsule summaries of each case:
--Investigator Scott Watson said a white 2010 F-250 crew cab was stolen from a Pocahontas Road residence sometime Sunday night, July 25 or early Monday morning July 26. The owner reported the vehicle stolen. There was no cargo in the vehicle bed. Watson said it’s unclear how the vehicle was stolen. The owner told him the keys were not in the vehicle.
--A 5 ft. by 14 ft. black trailer was discovered stolen Thursday morning, July 22 from The Trailer Place at the intersection of City Avenue South and Section Line Street. The trailer, made of angle iron, has a black mesh floor and tailgate.
Watson said someone cut a chain holding the trailer, which had a ball hitch. The trailer had a tongue coupler lock on it, which made it impossible for the ball hitch to be used. Watson believes the trailer was towed by chain or some type of lift or loaded aboard another vehicle and stolen.
