Ripley's Lindsey wins Randy Watkins Invitational

JACKSON – Ripley’s Reed Lindsey turned in his third sub-par round on Saturday to easily win the age 16-18 division at the first Randy Watkins Invitational.

Lindsey (66-63-69–198) won by eight strokes over Connor Davis (68-69-69–208) of Olive Branch and Kevin Brady (75-61-70–208) of Brandon. Saturday’s final round was played at Patrick Farms.

Clif Hanna (74-68-72–214) of Pontotoc finished in a tie for fifth.

In the 14-15 division, Collin Burns (79-72-78–229) of Rienzi was 10th and W.D. Newlin (80-73-77–230) of Houlka tied for 11th.

Noah Hill (74-72-82–228) of Calhoun City was fifth in the 12-13 division.

Seems like Reed is following up his High School State Championship with some pretty good golf this Summer. How about an in-depth story about Reed???
