The band, which performs regularly at the Old Church Opry House in Ripley, will take the stage at Snow Lake Shores at 11 a.m. The band is comprised of several Ripley residents, including: Stanley Rolfe on electric guitar and vocals; Janet Rolfe, percussion and vocal; Larry Ridge on drums; Ricky Bates on bass; and John Braddock, vocals, guitar, and harmonica. The group also includes James Simmons, of Tupelo, who performs vocals and keyboard.
The band will perform classic country, rockabilly, fifties music, rock classics and country gospel. They will be the opening musicians for the festival, and will be followed by two bands performing other genres of music. "Little Country" will perform classic country, along with modern country music beginning at 2 p.m. "Devil Train" will be the final performer for the evening, taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. The band's style is described as "a powerhouse mix of bluegrass, folk rock and jam band music" in materials prepared by the planning committee.
The festival will also incorporate arts and crafts, including displays by painters, woodworkers, potters, photographers and more. There will also be activities specifically designed to entertain children. The event will culminate in a fireworks display over the lake at 9 p.m.
