Hudson was being held on a cyberstalking indictment, which is a felony, and several misdemeanor warrants.
Hudson was being returned from the Tippah County Hospital. He was in the sally port section of the Tippah County Detention Center when he pushed deputy Dewayne Crenshaw to the ground and ran away about 7:30 p.m. He was wearing a blue prison jumpsuit and prison shoes. He was not wearing handcuffs or leg irons, Sheriff Karl Gaillard said.
Hudson is considered a non-violent inmate. He is described as 5-7, 165 lbs., with tattoos on his arms.
“Hudson could have made bond on the cyber-stalking charge and gotten out. Now, however, he faces charges of escape and assault on a law enforcement officer—more charges, and more serious ones, than what he faced before he escaped custody,” the sheriff said.
