Ripley High head football coach Mac McCurry will be leaving Ripley to coach at Crockett County High School in Alamo, Tenn.

McCurry is a native of Tennessee and will be replacing P.A. Pratt, who has been named to the assistant director of schools position at CC.

McCurry spent five seasons as Ripley’s head coach. McCurry told the Sentinel that he regrets having to leave Ripley and that he loves the program and the players.

McCurry is leaving Ripley primarily because of job security, as he will receive a four-year contract at Crockett County.
