WALNUT — Monday, the Walnut Lady Wildcats kept their fast-pitch playoff hopes alive with a 9-3 win over the New Site Lady Royals.

After beating the Lady Royals by five or more runs, the Lady Wildcats need a Baldwyn win over New Site to secure a playoff spot.

In the game, Olivia Robinson recorded 18 strikeouts, while allowing only two hits and a walk on the day. She also helped her cause at the plate with two hits.

Becky Robinson and Erica Clifton led five Lady Wildcats in multiple hits with three apiece. Robinson recorded three home runs, while Clifton (single, double, triple) was a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle. Codi and Sheridan Kee added two hits.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 8-11, 3-3 in Division 1-2A.
