It took a few games for first-year coach Mike Lewis to get his first win at Walnut High School, but it couldn't have come in a more exciting fashion.

Friday, the Wildcats (1-4) trailed the West Union Eagles by one point with three seconds reamining.

Walunt's Shaquille Perry drove to the basket for the go-ahead bucket, but was whistled for a charge, giving the ball back to the Eagles with .1 second left on the clock.

However, when the Eagles attempted to throw the ball the length of the floor on the inbound pass, the ball struck light and was ruled out of bounds, giving the ball back to the Wildcats under their own basket.

With barley enough time to catch and shoot, Lewis called for a lob pass to 6'3" Perry. Perry took a running start from the free throw line and received the pass from DaNerial Jones, tipping in the game-winning basket as the buzzer sounded to lift the Wildcats to a 47-46 victory.
