Sponsored by Ripley Main Street Association and Ripley Rotary Club, the parade requires entry forms for all entries. Completed forms should be returned to the Ripley Main Street Association office. Expressions Florist, or The Peoples Bank main branch by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov 27.
All floats and other vehicles will line up in the Ripley High School parking lot. All bands and walking groups will line up at Wal-Mart.
All entries that wish to be judged must line up by 5 p.m. at the Ripley High School parking lot. Entries will be assigned a number and placed in line to be judged. Any entry not in line for judging at 5 p.m. may not be judged. Each contact person will be responsible for picking up his or her parade number at the Ripley Main Street office by 5 p.m. Dec l.
All entries must be identified so that spectators can easily see the name of the entry or sponsor.
Ripley Main Street Director Craig Miller said, " There is no fee for entering the parade. We hope there will be a large group of entries to ensure another great parade for our community. Rotary Club and Main Street provide a Santa Claus, so no others are permitted. And we remind the entries that no candy or toss items are permitted for safety reasons."
" In addition to the efforts of both Main Street and The City of Ripley to make the Parade fun and safe for the viewers we are having the sidewalks pressure-washed. This is part of our city beautification program, and we want the area to be parade-ready for everyone," Miller added.
