Fifteen Ripley and Blue Mountain merchants opened their doors last Sunday afternoon for the annual Merchants Holiday Open House and were more than pleased with the largest turnout ever.

"There was a record crowd, the storeowners had outstanding Christmas decorations and refreshments, and the cash registers were ringing," Ripley Main Street Director Craig Miller. "One shopper commented that here money went far, she found great bargins, and she saw everybody she knew out shopping on a beautiful day."

Miller, Rhonda Reno, and Linda Tutor are visiting with Grapevine Village owners Mary Jane and Tommy Brinkley.
