ASHLAND – The new Bond Memorial Library is nearing completion.

The county is renovating one-third of the former Piggly Wiggly store to house the library. It will be twice as large as the present library.

Coming soon the library will be closed for three to four weeks for moving and the new one will have a grand opening sometime in October.

The library director said additional space will allow for a seating area and work tables, a meeting room for 20-25 people, plenty of storage and more room for employees.
