On April 24 along with hundreds of other relatives and friends, I went to Ripley Elementary School for Honors Day. I wanted to see my grandchild receive the honor certificate and also hear his name called as he walked forward to receive the honor.

I was amazed at the good behavior of all the children from grades 1-4. Then I caught myself talking to one of my friends. Others were also talking. How rude and selfish of all of us!.

I challenge all of us to show respect for all students when we go to school programs If the students can be nice and quiet, so can we.
